Some Simple Tips

FOR BOOKS: 1. read reviews of the novel
2. Skim through it while in the store
3. Ask around
4. Look on Wikepidia and Wikia to see the events in the book
5. Watch the book trailer
6. Cover pictures can tell you a lot. If the cover isn't worth looking at (As in inappropriate) than the book isn't worth reading.
7. You know the subject material from the back cover. And you probably know if it's totally focused on vampires or romance it's not gonna be one you should choose.
8. If you know the author has questionable books but this one might be different, Your dreaming. It's not worth the money to just have to throw it away.
9. Never hesitate to throw a book away, yah, it may have cost you money but I guarantee Heavenly father will reward you greater for making a good choice.

FOR MUSIC: 1. What's on the cover of the cd, that really can tell you something about the song.
2. Listen to the full song on Pandora or Youtube before purchasing
3. Look up the Lyrics
4. If your borderline about a song ( or anything for that matter) check your strength for youth pamphlet, ask a parent, or use common sense. If you have to check, it's probably not the best choice to purchase it.
5. Listen to words carefully on the radio, the beat is loud and crazy, usually for a reason.

FOR MOVIES: 1. The prophet ( and I) recomend not seeing PG-13 movies because they really don't leave you feeling all that great. But Wait, I like blindside too!
2. By a clearplay filter for PG-13 movies so that all the gross things will be taken out. You can wait for it to come out on DVD, I promise you.
3.Check the posters for movies. Are they immodest?
4. Check reviews and look at trailers
5. Look at plot on wikipedia or WIkia
6. Ask Around
7. Do these actors participate in clean movies? OR usaully dirty ones? Does the Director make clean movies?
8. NO R RATED MOVIES EVER. EVEN IF IT's RATED THAT JUST FOR VIOLENCE.
