Sorry cramming in as many posts as possible Before girls camp tomorrow. But I thought I'd share my favorite books which include:
The entire percy jackson series by rick Riordan
Fablehaven series by Brandon Mull
The Sphinx's princess by Esther Fraiser ( I think)
Jane Austin novels ( Timeless and informative)
Way of kings by Brandon Sanderson
Les Meserables by Victor Hugo
Climbing the Stairs by Padma Something that starts with a V
Now remember these have no inappropriate scenes and LITTLE to no swearing, and overall good messages.
Also I thought I'd share with you my view of " Clean" and " appropriate" because I keep sprouting out these words. To me these words mean for basicly all forms of entertainment, nothing that goes against anything in the strength for youth. Clean leaves you feeling good so don't read dark books that hurt your feel goods. And swearing, the more your exposed to it, the more likely you are to participate. Clean is having a good moral, and violence isn't the plotline of lord of the rings so you have no excuse. Also if the romance is getting to heav, just stop. Also it may seem strange but it's slightly important for the hero of the story to actually be the hero. So if the hero drinks, or whatever, I don't even know why that book was created. Neither do you, SO PUT IT DOWN! And lastly no twilight. Ever.
My last word of advice for books in general: One can easily tell if a book was meant for a teen or kid by how many pages it is, the reviews, who published it, and the back cover. THE END
This is a Blog for my personal Progress. In today's entertainment it is hard to find good things to keep you busy. Listed here are clean movies, clean books, and clean music. Enjoy!

Some Simple Tips
FOR BOOKS: 1. read reviews of the novel
2. Skim through it while in the store
3. Ask around
4. Look on Wikepidia and Wikia to see the events in the book
5. Watch the book trailer
6. Cover pictures can tell you a lot. If the cover isn't worth looking at (As in inappropriate) than the book isn't worth reading.
7. You know the subject material from the back cover. And you probably know if it's totally focused on vampires or romance it's not gonna be one you should choose.
8. If you know the author has questionable books but this one might be different, Your dreaming. It's not worth the money to just have to throw it away.
9. Never hesitate to throw a book away, yah, it may have cost you money but I guarantee Heavenly father will reward you greater for making a good choice.

FOR MUSIC: 1. What's on the cover of the cd, that really can tell you something about the song.
2. Listen to the full song on Pandora or Youtube before purchasing
3. Look up the Lyrics
4. If your borderline about a song ( or anything for that matter) check your strength for youth pamphlet, ask a parent, or use common sense. If you have to check, it's probably not the best choice to purchase it.
5. Listen to words carefully on the radio, the beat is loud and crazy, usually for a reason.

3.Check the posters for movies. Are they immodest?
4. Check reviews and look at trailers
5. Look at plot on wikipedia or WIkia
6. Ask Around

A Little Pink Handbook
Hi, and welcome to my new blog. Why start a new blog when you already have one, one might ask? Well, in a nutshell: Personal Progress ( A little pink handbook for the young women of the LDS church). This blog is more geared for the young women of my church and young women everywhere who are sick of the filth that they mistakenly purchase. And by filth I mean the bad meanings and swear words in songs, movies that make you cringe and shrink down in your seat singing primary songs, and books with weirdness and just inappropriate material. So in this here loverly blog, I will post popular CLEAN books, and ones that are really good but you never here about. I'll write what's wrong with them and I'll try to rate them like PG or G or whatever. With music I'll put down some of my favorite songs and look up the lyrics to the ones on Itunes to see if there clean or not. And with movie I'll put why something is rated something. And I think that pretty much covers it. Welcome to my blog!!
